Rajma Chawal are one of the most famous vegetarian recipe of India and Pakistan. Making this recipe is really quick and simple. If you keep them dry then this same recipe is called Rajma Masala but we are making it with gravy for rice. Enjoy.

Preparation time: 05 mins.
(Red beans need to be soaked in water over night)
Cooking time: 30 mins.

Ingredients

Red beans - 500 grams / Half Kg - Rajma
Garlic - 2 bulbs / Gathi - Lehsan
Ginger - 1 inch - Adrak
Onions - 2 pcs medium - Payaz
Green chilies - 2 pcs - Sabaz mirch
Black pepper - 1 tsp - Kali mirch powder
Red chili flakes - Half tsp - Laal daddar mirch
Blend of spices - Half tsp - Garam Masala
Fenugreek Powder - 1 tbsp - Kasuri Methi
Turmeric powder - 1 tbsp - Haldi
Salt - 1 tbsp - Namak
Red chili powder - 1 tsp - Red Chili powder
Cooking oil - Half cup - Tael
Water as required

Making Rajma Chawal

First Soak Red beans in water over night. Next day wash them once with clean water and put them in pressure cooker along with Tomatoes, Onions, Ginger and Garlic. Pressure cook them for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes open the pressure cooker and there will be water there just turn on the flame and dry it.

When water gets dry then add Cooking oil and all dry spices in it except fenugreek powder and Blend of spices (Garam Masala) and mix them well. Now add 1 liter water and mix after that pressure cook again for 10 minutes.  

Note: If you like to eat them dry then you can skip the water and they will be ready to serve before adding water as Rajma Masala recipe.

After pressure cook your red beans are ready to serve. Garnish them with Fresh coriander and green chili and enjoy.

Chana ki tarkai wali khari dal which in english is Tarka Split Chickpeas recipe. One of the most loved dish by Pakistanis and Indians. But every foreigner tastes it, they just love it. On every bite you will have a different flavor. Not just the taste but its aroma is also brilliant.

Step by step guide about how to make this dal

Preparation time: Soak split chickpeas Overnight.
Other things only 5 to 10 mins.
Cooking time: 40 mins.

Ingredients

Split Chickpeas | Chanai ki Daal: 500 grams.
Onion | Pyaz: 2 medium pcs.
Tomato | Tamar: 4 pcs.
Ginger Garlic Paste | Adrak Lahsan Paste: 2 table spoon.
Salt | Namak: 1 and half table spoon.
Red Chili Powder | Laal Mirch Powder: 1 and half table spoon.
Turmeric Powder | Haldi Powder: 1 table spoon.
Fenugreek Powder | Kasuri Methi: 1 table spoon.
Cumin Powder | Zeera Powder: Half tea spoon.
Blend of Spices (Garam Masala): Half tea spoon.
Coriander Powder | Dhania Powder: 1 table spoon.
Black Pepper Powder | Kaali Mirch Powder: 1 and half tea spoon.
Cooking oil: 2 table spoon.

Tarka Ingredients

Whole Dried Red Chilli | Sabit Moti Laal Mirch: 6 pcs.
Curry Leaves | Curry Patta: 3 pcs.
Garlic | Lahsan : 6 Cloves / Tukrai.
Cooking oil: 2 table spoon.
Desi Ghee: 4 dish spoon.

Making Other than Chana ki tarkai wali khari dal

Split Chickpeas Other than Chana ki tarkai wali khari dal,

Soak Split Chick peas for over night and clean it in the morning.

Now take a Pressure cooker and Add 4 Tomatoes, 2 Onions, 2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste and a glass of water in it. We will pressure cook all these ingredients for 10 minutes.

Now we will add all the above mentioned spices in the pressure cooker with 2 tbsp cooking oil and saute it well. After sauteing it we will add Split-Chickpeas and mix it. Now add two glass of water in pressure cooker and Pressure cook it for 15 to 20 mins . After that our Split-Chickpeas are ready.

Tarka Material

In a small pan we will cut 2 small onions, Add 7 pcs small whole dried red chillies, 3 pcs curry leaves, 6 to 7 garlic cloves and will add Pure Desi Ghee 4 dish spoons. Now we will cook them on flame until the onions become light brown.

When tarka material is ready we will just pour it over our Split Chickpeas and mix them. We can garnish it with Green chilies and Ginger.

Our Tarka Split Chickpeas dish is ready now. Enjoy.
