Taro which is Cultivated in Asia and famous by name of Arvi is one of the most loved seasonal food through out the world. Its texture is like potato but tastes a bit different and also its preparation is a bit different than potato. Taro Chicken | Arvi Vegetable recipe is easy to cook.

Scientifically it is helps to improve your health healthy and according to HealthLine: " Taro is also an excellent source of fiber and resistant starch, which account for many of its health benefits, such as improved heart health, blood sugar levels, body weight and gut health.

Ingredients Taro Chicken | Arvi Vegetable recipe

Taro ….. 1250 grams ….. Arvi
Tomato ….. 6 pcs ….. Tamatar
Garlic ….. 2 knobs ….. Lahsan
Onion ….. 5 small pcs ….. Payaz
Cooking oil ….. 100 ml ….. Tael
Water ….. 3 glass ….. Paani
Salt ….. 1 tbsp ….. Namak
Black pepper pwdr ….. 1 tbsp ….. Kali mirch pwdr
Turmeric Powder ….. 1 tbsp ….. Haldi Powder
Cumin Powder ….. 1 tea spoon ….. Zeera Powder
Fenugreek Pwdr ….. 1 tbsp ….. Kasuri Methi
Chicken ….. 1 kg ….. Murgi
Green chilies ….. 3 pcs ….. Hari Mirch
Fresh or Frozen Coriander

Making Arvi Vegetable recipe

Preparing Taro | Arvi

First peel of the skin of the Taro and Cut it in two pieces. After cutting take a deep bowl and put Taro and 1 and half tablespoon salt in it. After putting 2 glass water stir it with Egg beater so its dirt and sticky material gets separated. Change the water with new one and repeat the process but without salt now. After cleaning we will fry Arvi for 7 to 8 mins or lets say until it becomes light golden.

Chicken and Gravy

We will take a pressure cooker and add Water and oil in it along with the all the spices mentioned above in ingredients. After that we will add tomatoes, Onions and garlic in it and Pressure cook it for 5 to 6 minutes. Now all the ingredients have become soft so we will use smasher now to mash them and turn them in to a smooth creamy material. After that we will add chicken in it and saute it. We will cover the cooker with lid and put in on medium flame to cook for 5 mins (Normal lid not pressure lid). During this the chicken will leave its water and we will cook chicken in its own water until it dry. When chicken will be ready then we will add green whole 3 green chilies in it.

After that we will add fried Taro in the cooker and mix it. After that add 2 glass water and cover the lid and let it cook on high flame for 5 minutes. At last add Coriander and mix it.
